Q) Will housing be organized by NYLX?

A) No… with all the housing options available in the city, it didn’t make sense for NYLX to organize. Last year we arranged for a hotel block, but hardly anyone used it.

Q) Is NYLX open to all ages?

A) YES! All social dances and workshops are open to all ages this year!

Q) Does NYLX have a Safe Space Policy?

A) YES! it is posted on our “conduct” page, and also contains info to contact our Safe Spaces Coordinator if needed.

Q) What time should I arrive for classes?

A) Please arrive 15 min before classes start to allow time for class checkin!

Q) What is NYLX’s vaccination & mask policy for COVID?

A) Vaccinations & boosters are strongly encouraged for everyone, and masks are encouraged for those who feel like they need extra precaution. But masks and vaccinations are not required. Additional protocols may be put into place as needed or required by local authorities, but at this time the US and NY State have lifted all COVID related travel restrictions, testing, masking precautions.

Q) Wasn’t one of the social dances supposed to be at The Alhambra Ballroom?

A) YES… we had a signed contract & deposit for our Saturday night dance in Harlem, but The Alhambra had to cancel our contract because the building is closing for renovations in September 2024.

Q) Can the larger packages to NYLX be paid in installments?

A) YES.. we recognize that for some, a large purchase such as the NYLX Full Lindy Package may be a stretch on your cash flow.  For this package only,  you may opt for a payment plan. You may do this in either 2  or 3 payments. Each payment will require an additional $5 convenience charge per payment. The base cost of the package plus the standard equivalent EventBrite fee will be processed against a valid credit card, split evenly over 30 day segments.
