This year we offer Two Tracks, for EXPERIENCED dancers (comfortable with 8 count moves), and FOUNDATION dancers (lesser experienced but comfortable with 6 count).
All classes are 60 minutes long, unless specified otherwise. Please arrive 15 min before class start time!

Lindy Hop Crash Course - An Accelerated Class
Get it! …&… Get Up and Dance!
Lindy Hop burst onto the scene at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem NY in the 1920s/30s. It was created by young African American dancers who were groovin’ to the new swingin’ beat of big band music! Today, after nearly 100 years, it’s at the height of its popularity, embracing dancers from every corner of the globe!
Learn the original style and technique of lindy hop as taught to Elena by Lindy Hop legend, Mr. Frankie Manning. She will quickly review the fundamentals and add on some flashy moves perfect for the social dance floor!

Quick n’ Light: Authentic Jazz and House Fusion
From the Ballroom to the club. This class will explore one of Authentic Jazz’s great grandchildren; House. In this class we will discuss how music and the essence of social dance influence different intentions of movement, but still hold similar foundations. We will be focused on embodiment as opposed to steps.

Party Moves: From Lindy Hop to Hip Hop
Like Jazz, Hip-Hop in its truest form is a social dance. In this class we will explore party moves throughout the 5+ decades of Hip-Hop that are all a part of the Black Vernacular Dance Continuum and have a direct link to Authentic Jazz. We will explore ranging eras of music & how each translated to the dance form(s) of the time, as well as social connections through movement.

Yoga for Lindy Hoppers
Partner Yoga- Enjoy Yoga in a fun community setting. Learn poses and sequences to stretch while supported by a partner. This is especially great for social dancers who want to warm up,connect, and build trust while dancing in a group or in a duo.
